Kirasect the Lord of Fire and Fury, Vulture of War

My life.. You wish to know of.. my life? Heh. Very well.. child. Sit.. and I shall speak.

Ahh. The sea caves of Rahh-Nefor. That would be where I was born.. and where I was forged.. but not 'home'. That would not come.. no. Not for a time yet. My parents were.. belittling in their raising of me.. Worthless they called me. Useless. They broke my feelings of self worth.. but another thing filled the void of that. Hate.

Anger.. Mm.. Hate.. such gave birth to my.. gift. I nurtured my then-impotent rage. Let it grow.. shaped it. My hate soon manifested itself. Flames. Fire burst from my hate.. purging.. purifying. I would not be berated again.. No.. My parents found this out.. I pity I can no longer recall their screams.. it was lovely if memory serves..

I left the sea-caves. There was nothing for me there. I fled to Var Bandor, living as a vagrant, feeding on what I could kill. I met a preacher.. discarded as a madman by many. He spake of Bayyal.. the powers of hate. I embraced this as I did the flames. I read of the lord of flames, only to find he had been sealed. Thus began one of my ..early.. and misinformed.. ventures.

I sought gain Bayyal the strength to break free from his bonds, sacrificing the blood of the fallen to grant him power. I followed the edicts ..best that I could.. I sought to join the Shunned that they might aid in this.. A poor decision.. but a most important one.

I spent much time.. twenty years.. serving the Collective. I was taught the folly of my beliefs and was opened to the wisdom of the Knowing.

The wisdom.. you ask..? Heh.

I became one of the Vanguard shortly after the War of Rogues, I battled the likes of Devrentor, Serbatis and Phaesti in those days, as well as the remnants of the canyon. I was.. rarely felled. I had a ..knack.. for escape. Heh. Difficult times.. But they would all fade.. And we then came into prominance.

For a time the Coven dominated the land.. An unfortunate upsurge of Champion would change this.. but only slightly. The Canyon was quelled and the Guardians no longer a threat with Devrentor's passing. Confrontation would soon come.. Most unfortunately.. my body was not able to last to it.

Other foes would rise.. and fall in my time. My form weakened, flesh withered from age. It finally collapsed on my fifty-fourth year.. pity really.

Is your curiosity sated then.. child..? Heh.. Very well.. Until later..

Asa the Lord of the Living Seas, Betrayer of Guardians

Born on a farm in the outskirts of Earendam, Asa was raised by his father. His mother had died during childbirth and left his father with only one son. They worked hard on the farm, and Asa learned the ways of the plow and irrigation. Sometimes when the live stock would get ill he would nurse them back to health, even then his father could tell he had a good heart. But Asa's fate would not fall into his own hands, as his father was slain before his very eyes. A large srryn was roaming the countryside, looking for food, when came across thier farm. Asa was taken in by his uncle, who at the time was a drunk and a gambler. His uncle spent most of his days away from home leaving Asa all alone. Occasionally he would return with different women, always wearing the same old glass jewlery. Before long Asa ran away from his uncle, feeling that there was more to life that he could be achieving. He decided to head west towards the great city of Var Bandor the Beautiful. He had heard many stories from traveling gleemen and bards of the wonders that abound there.

Alas when he arrived he found the city to not be what he had expected. It seemed to be partitioned down the middle with the poor to the north and the rich to the south. Several men in robes walked about with an aloof air about them. Thier clothes resembled what Asa had heard the bards describe as scholars of magic. Great warriors and swordsmen abounded and the Guardians of the city kept a close eye on the populace. Asa felt out of place, this was all grand but he longed for his farm back home. Following a converstation he had over heard in a local tavern, "The Nymphs Tears," Asa decided to find the monestary that lay in the woods of nendor to the south. As he made his way through the path and on to the monestary, he would catch glimpses of things in passing, and hurried along afraid of what might be hiding in the woods.

He arrived at the monestary and was given a place to stay, granted he would help in the fields out back. Pleased at the arrangement he stayed for a very long time. Sometimes he would find himself asked to help in the infirmary. There he was taught the basics for bandaging wounds and curative procedures. On occasion one of the scholars from Var Bandor would arrive to lend a hand in matters about the infirmary, he would command great power and bring many back from sure death, sometimes they were already dead. Asa began to watch this great scholar, and learn his ways. Then at the age of 16 he decided it was time to move on. He packed up his things said goodbye to the head monk, and headed back to Var Bandor.

After arriving in town he sought the chamber of the water scholars, looking for the scholar who had taught him so much already. When he arrived he found addmitance to the tower was impossible as it was guarded by a large man. So he waited outside hoping for the man to come by. He was in luck this day for around the corner strode that very scholar, he noticed Asa and invited him inside. Once Asa had explained to the man what his intentions were, the scholar sat and mused. He turned toward Asa and told him of a sect of warrior scholars known as the templars, they commanded great powers to heal and also the strength to fight. Asa decided this was the position for him and applied for ranks in the templars of water.

Asa became a proud and noble individual who defended the laws of Avendar with perserverance. Yet he was a torn individual, betrayed by those he had helped, and forced to assist those he loathed. In the end it was this dilemma that brought about his exile from the House of Guardians. Betrayed by one he had protected, he took the law into his own hands and was forever cast aside by the noble house. Asa was the first hero to realize the full potential of the water templars, and stood against the overwhelming threat that was the House of Raiders, battling many times against his arch-enemy Zyal.
