| A wiry kankoran sits alone at a cedar table near the door. As you approach him, he looks up, a smile already on his face.
"Yer new here, aren'tcha?" he asks, his breath smelling slightly of wood alcohol. "Well, I can tellya a thing er two 'bout the races that inhabit Avendar, if yer in'trested." |

A large alatharyan sits on a huge bench like it was a barstool, pounding on the table for more ale.
Across from him sits a human female, clad in deep blue. In between the giant alatharyan's yells for more food and drink, they seem deep in discussion. "Yes, I know there are many classes throughout Avendar, Grantal. But I'd have to say that a water scholar is much more useful than any old barbarian!" The alatharyan roars in return, as the two continue their discussion. |

An exceptionally tall ethron lounges at the bar, standing perhaps a head above normal. He is a dark, forest green in color, and his eyes are a paler shade of the same.
As he sees you, he looks up at you and asks you, "Do I know you? When you see me, you'll for sure remember me. But perhaps people do not remember you, eh?" He seems to think about this for a moment, and says, "Let me help you with your description, so you won't have this trouble in the future." |

A large, well dressed human stands near the entranceway to the bar. He is rather tall and broad at the shoulders, but has a rather friendly air about him.
As he sees you he smiles swiftly and greets you, saying, 'Welcome, friend, welcome! My name if Dhorth, Dhorth Va'Falena! I am the current proprietor of the Gallery Of Heroes! You've been there, haven't you? Oh, it's a wonderful place to learn about the past! Why don't you stop by some time?" With a smile and a nod he moves on, heading towards the bar. |

| In the far corner of the Inn there is a small, raised platform, upon which sits an aging gleeman. His hair is long and white, complemented by a large white beard that reaches nearly to his knees.
"Gather round," he says in a voice that was once strong and proud, but now shows signs of strain. "Gather round, and I shall relate to you a story, a story of Avendar, and its inhabitants." He smiles quietly, a certain gleam in his eye as he begins to pluck at the strings of his lute, and tell his tale. |
|
| A small human stands by the door, surverying the room casually. His light brown eyes seem to shift about constantly, keeping track of all the people occupying the inn.
As he sees you looking at him, he nods casually and queries, "Do you need some information on the lands of Avendar? I've had to run...I mean...," he stammers, but quickly regains his composure. "I've wandered through most of them." "Let me tell you about all the areas I've visted, perhaps my information will be of use to you. In which case...maybe you'll buy my next drink?" |
|
| A hulking mass of green scales lurks by the door to the Inn, a menacing sneer present upon his crooked face. A long, ragged scar ruptures his face in two, crossing from above his forehead and running through a socket which must have once housed a reptilian eye.
Gruffly, the lizard speaks, "You wisssh to know more of what earned me thisssss?" he demands, pointing at his eye-sockets with a long, taloned finger. "You wisssh to know more of the fighting within Avendar? Then come to the Dueling Circle, if you dare. Perhapssss you'll learn how to avoid my missssfortune." |
