Tucked in the north-western corner of Nendor is a simple, remote holy ground known only
as the Monastery. Full of benevolent monks, healers, and other denizens, the Monastery serves
as a clinic, a place of worship, and a soothing refuge for anyone. Most of its monks believe in
Alajial, and have thus taken up a life of peace, refuting all violence.
Many adventurers come to the Monastery to reap the monk's vast generosity, taking whatever food
that can forage from their gardens. Some of the more seedier adventurers, however, come to these
grounds to steal one of the precious symbols of Alajial, known to gift its wearer with heightened
intelligence. Despite these rather one-way relationships, the monks continue to worship Alajial,
choosing to take their hardships with stiff stoicism.
Rumors also have emerged that Avendar's premiere psionicist has taken up his own life within the walls of
the Monastery. Whether he has dedicated his life to Alajial or not is unknown, but there are more than a few
accounts of children who have spent great deals of time within the Monastery, and have emerged with the foreign,
and unique powers of the mind.
Highlights:
- A lot of lowbies loot the garden for free food. It's really weak food, but it's food either way.
- The holy symbols of Alajial are hot stat-items for a lowbie.
- Psionicists should explore this Monastery. You won't get far if you don't.
Things to be careful of:
- Nothing. It's pretty safe.
