The Ethics of the Game
  by Rascyc
[02:35] fluxcat: there should be just a judge on lameness
[02:35] fluxcat: i mean
[02:35] fluxcat: this is a game
[02:36] Ramc: Oh. There is.
[02:36] Ramc: Call it Karma.
[02:37] Ramc: (It's called account points :P)

Yep, there comes a time when someone has to lay down the ethics to playing Avendar. There is no doubt that our mud is a plethora of fun. Because of the complexity of the mechanics behind the game, a lot of players have come to Avendar to revel in the spirit of the game as well as roleplaying.

But what happens when certain players begin detracting from the game with certain "troll"-like strategies. There's only so much fun to be had before you realize that some players literally walk right on top of the thin boundary between legal play and breaking the rules. Or when you realize that some players know how to cripple the atmosphere through bad playing practices.

It's because of this attitude that this ethics guide was first created. To some it may seem like a rant, to others it may seem plausible. I know plenty of people have read the guide when it was first introduced a long time ago, and most people had agreed with most, if not all, of the points.

So with that thought in mind, I present to you my unofficial list and thoughts on Avendar game ethics.
